Congratulations to Checkpoint Zero captain Jon Barker, winner of the inaugural Blue Ridge Mountain masters 50K. The race was held Nov 11 in Blue Ridge GA. Jonā??s winning time was 5 hours and 18 minutes.
Also competing was Checkpoint Zero teammate Tim Abbott, who finished 8th overall. After a disappointing finish at USARA National Championship last week in Santa Barbara, Jon was raring to go.
Congratulations to Jon and Tim!!!
By the way, the title of this blog is a really bad reference to the song "Band on the Run" by Paul McCartney & Wings. McCartney is British, of course, and so are Jon and Tim. Get it?!? ... It's the best we could do.
