Prince Rupert - Arrival and prep for Raid the North
Headed North for Raid the North Extreme the team, comprised of Cyril Jay-Rayon, Aaron Rinn, Ryan VanGorder and Mari Chandler arrived in Prince Rupert, B.C which will serve as the pre and post race hub for the race and are excited to get preperations started for the race. After Ferrying to Vancouver Island from Port Angles the team drove the 500 km accross the Island before hopping on the famous inside passage ferry and sailing for 15 hours through the majestic route filled with rugged coastline, waterfalls and snow capped peaks.
Because of the last minute adjustments to the race course (Weather and snow caused) a majority of the course has been moved to uncharted grounds and in the location of the Queen Charlotte Islands off the coast. As well the order of events have been pre released to help teams plann accordingly and get their gear ready for action.
Word for the day is going to be "transition" as there are going to be a healthy amount of them and the teams will be on their toes (tows?) changing from sport to sport frequently.
Next up we will let you know what the order of events is looking like.
