Checkpoint Zero qualifies for Nationals

After a very late change in the official rankings of the Odyssey One Day Extreme, Team Checkpoint Zero has been declared the winner of the qualifying slot for the 2006 USARA Adventure Race National Championship. The team actually missed the noon cutoff to be ranked officially, but were the first team to complete the Pro course without being disqualified for rules violations.

They didn't take home the cash prize because they didn't cross the finish line in time, but now they have a goal to motivate them for the rest of the season...bringing home the USARA trophy for Yak's mantle :-)

Team Checkpoint Zero is racing RIGHT NOW

The Odyssey One Day Extreme kicked off at 6:00 am this morning in the Chattahoochee National Forest in extreme north Georgia. The weather is looking nasty as is typical this time of year in the area. Look for teams to begin dropping like flies once the sun goes down. You can follow the action on the Odyssey leaderboard. I've got a few contacts on the course so I'll do my best to bring you updates as the race takes shape.

PQ certification camp close to sold out

The Camp Xstream Primal Quest Certification Camp has only a few slots left and registration will close this Friday. For those of you on the fence time is running out.
