Battle for 1st place in USARA Rankings this weekend at ODAR

Berlin Bike is the current leader in the USARA National Ranking System. They are followed by Checkpoint Zero/GoLite who trails by 20.5 points. Both teams are racing this weekend at the Odyssey One Day Adventure Race.

Not only are these teams neck and neck in the points chase, but they've competed head to head twice already this season.

Berlin Bike took 2nd at the Odyssey One Day Extreme on January 13th. Checkpoint Zero/GoLite took 1st.

Berlin Bike took 4th place at the Odyssey Endorphin Fix in April. Checkpoint Zero/GoLite won that one too.

Berlin Bike took 2nd at the Odyssey Wild Wonderful in May, a race Checkpoint Zero/GoLite did not attend.

So the two times this season that both teams have raced the same course, Checkpoint Zero/GoLite came out on top. Will that trend continue this weekend or will Berlin Bike finally beat their rivals to the finish line?

That actually may not matter. Given their 20.5 point lead, all Berlin Bike has to do is rank high enough in relation to Checkpoint Zero/GoLite's final ranking that the spread is 20.5 points or less.

It's going to be exciting regardless. You can watch the drama unfold online at CheckpointTracker.com.

It's the north vs. the south all over again! Seems like the good 'ole boys are rising again.

I'm conflicted. My team is from Atlanta, but I'm a Yankee. I was born and lived first 13 years in MA.
