As if survivor isn't bad enough...now the castaways are leaving the island to play make believe on a pirate ship. This is what we get in lieu of Eco Challenge?

I really can't say I blame Burnett for going where the money is. He invented reality TV as we know it today and he's made more money doing it than anyone will likely ever make via adventure racing. Regardless, I have no problem lamenting the fact that the unwashed masses would rather watch this crap.

It's one thing to live your life vicariously through adventure racers testing themselves against nature in the farthest flung corners of the earth. It's something else entirely to sit on the couch and watch a starving model try to balance a plate on a stick while perched on top of a telephone pole...all for the chance to eat a quesadilla instead of another f***ing pineapple :-/
