Calling all Rocky mountain and "left-coast" adventure racers
The Checkpoint Zero Adventure Race starting to look like a reactor leak at the Savannah River Site.
All my red dots are concentrated in the southeast...I'm gonna need a few more teams from out west to even things out. I'm talking to you Matt...and Bryan...and you too Gordon...you in particluar. You need to get your peeps together and come visit your east coast hommies!
Tell your sponsors that Yak's offering a discount on ad rates at checkpointzero.com to any company that pays the entry fee or travel costs for their team to come race in Helen, GA in March. (Tell them you're gonna win and you'll pay them back with your cut of the $3k prize purse :-)
If you don't end up on the poduim, you'll still come away having had a great time. You'll eat dinner during the pre-race briefing and spend Friday night at the Unicoi Lodge before tackling a challenging and fun 85 mile course that winds its way through the surrounding wilderness.
Also, Checkpoint Zero sent TWO teams to California for Nationals so...you kinda owe us. See you in March?
You can read the FAQ, discuss the race with teams already registered or ask questions of me or the Course Director, Tony Berwald, in the race forum.
