If it's not Scottish it's crap

Team Mandatorygear.com is is one of only two US teams heading to the Wilderness ARC expedition race in Scotland. The 240 mile race will begin on Monday the 22nd and wrap up on Friday the 26th. Team member Jay Pichard will once again be bringing back a report just as he did last year.

Here's a little bit of background on the team that Jay was kind enough to send my way:

Dan Williams will be our captain and lead navigator. Dan has around 30 races under his belt including 2 Eco-Challenge finishes Primal Quests finishes and dozens of other regional and international races. He is also the owner and race director for Minnesota's only AR racing company, CEO of Mandatorygear.com and a jazz musician.

Rebecca Lundberg is actually the brains behind: Dan's AR racing series, DanÃ?Â?s company and probably plays DanÃ?Â?s music for him behind stage. Rebecca is an accomplished racer with Primal Quests finishes, Raid the North Extreme finishes plus a dozen other expedition length races.

Sandy Geisel is our fitness trainer turned real estate tycoon. With Three Eco-Challenges, Primal Quests, and dozens of other international races including more ultra marathons then we care to count, she will be a key component for our team.

And lastly Jay Pichard, a Florida based Business owner, with his experience including Eco-Challenge finishes, Primal Quests, and 10 other expedition length international races will hopefully tap into this experience to help the team along.

We are looking forward to an exciting, wet, cold, dreary, and beautiful race. Rumors are we will be paddling across the Loch Ness. With any luck, we will see the monster, hook up a tow system and be pulled to the finish. If not, we will manage. :-)
